Am located in Versailles, KY, adjacent to Lexington in the heart of the beautiful Bluegrass.

I write essays on a wide variety of topics. In the eleven years I’ve been writing Brimmings I have written approximately 450 essays.

I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1973 with a Ph. D. in English and taught British and American Literature for 40 years. Am now retired.

I enjoy dabbling in languages, reading, and of course, keeping up with Brimmings, which I hope you’ll enjoy.
